Install SecureFox on Android

Install the Android app from Google Play. Requires Android 8.0 or later.

SecureFox for Android uses the system VpnService API, which means you get per-app routing (split tunnelling), the kill-switch survives reboots, and the app respects Android's battery optimisation rules without nagging you.

Requirements

  • Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.
  • Google Account signed into Google Play.
  • About 50 MB free storage.

Install steps

  1. Open the Google Play Store and search for SecureFox VPN.
  2. Tap Install.
  3. Open SecureFox. Sign in or create an account.
  4. When prompted, grant the VPN permission — Android shows the system dialog the first time.
  5. Pick a server location and tap Connect.

If you sideload the APK from our website instead, you'll need to enable Install from this source for your browser or file manager. The Play Store build and the website APK are identical.
