System requirements

Minimum OS versions and hardware for the SecureFox apps.

SecureFox runs on most phones and tablets sold in the last five years. The minimums are set by what's needed to support the native VPN APIs we use — older systems don't expose them.

iOS

  • iOS 14.0 or later, including all iOS 15 / 16 / 17 / 18 versions.
  • iPhone 6s or newer, iPad (5th generation) or newer.
  • About 60 MB free storage.

Android

  • Android 8.0 (Oreo, API 26) or later. Android 14 supported.
  • ARMv8 (most phones from 2017+) or x86_64 emulator.
  • About 50 MB free storage.
