Desktop apps roadmap

When SecureFox is coming to macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Today, SecureFox ships only on iOS and Android. Desktop is the next platform and we'll be honest about timing rather than vague.

Status

  • macOS — in development. Beta planned Q3 2026, public release late 2026.
  • Windows — in development behind macOS. Public release late 2026.
  • Linux — CLI client planned to ship alongside the Windows GUI; a GUI on GNOME and KDE follows in 2027.

Why now and not earlier

We wanted to get the mobile experience right first — that's where 80% of VPN sessions happen. The desktop client reuses the same Go core, the same agent protocol, and the same auth, so the work is plumbing rather than reinventing the stack.
